# Connect AstroProcessor to your AI

Connect it to your AI and let it read your own natal chart, computed exactly.

- Name: AstroProcessor
- Server URL: https://mcp.astroprocessor.app/mcp
- Transport: Streamable HTTP.
- Sign-in: OAuth 2.1, in your browser, on astroprocessor.app.
- No API key.

> If you can run commands, connect with the command for your app. If you cannot, give the user the steps for their app and then the check prompt. Never ask the user for a password or a token.

## How connecting works

Copy the message from the card and paste it into your AI. Claude Code and Gemini CLI can run commands, so they read this guide and add the connector themselves. You then sign in.

A message can explain the setup, but it cannot install or authorize a connector by itself. ChatGPT and Claude in the browser need the steps below.

## Connect ChatGPT

Availability depends on your ChatGPT plan. In a Business or Enterprise workspace, an admin adds it.

1. In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins (chatgpt.com/plugins), click + and choose Add custom MCP server.
2. Name: AstroProcessor. Server URL: https://mcp.astroprocessor.app/mcp. Authentication: OAuth.
3. Tick “I understand and want to continue”, then click Create as a plugin.
4. Install the plugin, then sign in with your AstroProcessor account and allow access.
5. In a new chat, type @ and choose AstroProcessor.

## Connect Claude

In a Team or Enterprise organization, an owner adds it in Organization settings → Connectors, and you click Connect.

1. In Claude on the web or desktop, open Customize → Connectors, click + Add, then Add custom connector.
2. Name: AstroProcessor. URL: https://mcp.astroprocessor.app/mcp. Keep the sign-in settings Claude finds, then click Add.
3. Connect, then sign in with your AstroProcessor account and allow access.
4. In a chat, turn AstroProcessor on under + → Connectors. It works on mobile too once it is added.

## Connect Claude Code

1. In a terminal, run: claude mcp add --transport http --scope user astroprocessor https://mcp.astroprocessor.app/mcp
2. Start Claude Code (or restart it), run /mcp, choose astroprocessor and sign in.

```sh
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user astroprocessor https://mcp.astroprocessor.app/mcp
```

## Connect Gemini CLI

Gemini CLI is Google's app for the terminal, not the Gemini chat at gemini.google.com.

1. In a terminal, run: gemini mcp add --transport http --scope user astroprocessor https://mcp.astroprocessor.app/mcp
2. Start Gemini CLI with the gemini command, run /mcp auth astroprocessor, then sign in and allow access in your browser.

```sh
gemini mcp add --transport http --scope user astroprocessor https://mcp.astroprocessor.app/mcp
```

## Any other MCP client

- Name: AstroProcessor
- Server URL: https://mcp.astroprocessor.app/mcp
- Transport: Streamable HTTP.
- Sign-in: OAuth 2.1, in your browser, on astroprocessor.app.
- No API key.

## Check the connection

Then, in any app, ask: “What does my natal chart say about me?”.

A working setup answers from your own natal chart. If your profile has no birth data yet, the AI asks for it.

## What the AI can and cannot do

- If you allow it when you connect, it can read your own natal chart, from the birth data in your profile, and compute from it: its forecast for any date, a relocation to another city, a synastry with a person whose birth data you give, your lunar return and the cities on your AstroMap lines. So it answers questions about you and what is coming from your own chart. If your profile has no birth data, it can save the date, time and place you give it, once, and add your natal chart to your dashboard.
- It can see your plan, and where you are (your Default location, else your device’s time zone) to compute the Moon, eclipses, sunrise and sunset for you.
- It cannot change or delete your charts, chat threads or birth data, and it cannot read your other charts, your chat threads or your notes. The only thing it can add to your account is your birth data and your natal chart, when your profile has none.

## The tools

The connector offers these tools.

get_chart_data, get_directions, get_transits, get_solar_return, get_progressions, get_relocation_place, get_synastry, get_lunar_return and search_astromap_cities need chart access, which you allow when you connect.

### `get_chart_data`

Your own natal chart, from the birth data in your profile, as the in-app chat reads it: every planet’s sign, degree, house and dignity, the house cusps and the angles, and the aspects. If your profile has no birth data, it saves the date, time and place you give it, once, and adds your natal chart to your dashboard. It never changes birth data you already saved.

No input to read your chart. To save your birth data when your profile has none: birthDate (YYYY-MM-DD), birthTime (24-hour HH:MM) or birthTimeUnknown: true, and birthPlace (a city name).

### `get_directions`

Your symbolic directions for any date, from the birth data in your profile, as the in-app chat reads them: the directed chart against your natal chart, its aspects, and the dates its exact contacts fall on. They show what your life permits.

date, optional: the day or moment, as YYYY-MM-DD, as YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM in your time zone, or with an offset. Without it, now, in your time zone.

### `get_transits`

Your transits for any date: the sky against your natal chart, its aspects and the dates of its exact passes. Your time zone is the one of your Default location, else your device’s.

date, optional: the day or moment, as YYYY-MM-DD, as YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM in your time zone, or with an offset. Without it, now, in your time zone.

### `get_solar_return`

Your solar return for the year in force on any date: its exact start and end, its houses and its contacts to your natal chart, cast where you are.

date, optional: a day of the year you want, as YYYY-MM-DD, as YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM in your time zone, or with an offset. Without it, the year you are in now.

### `get_progressions`

Your secondary progressions for any date: the progressed chart against your natal chart, its aspects and the dates its exact contacts fall on.

date, optional: the day or moment, as YYYY-MM-DD, as YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM in your time zone, or with an offset. Without it, now, in your time zone.

### `get_relocation_place`

Your natal chart recast for another city: the houses and angles there, the planets that change house, and your AstroMap lines near that city. Nothing is saved.

place: a city name, as you would say it, with the country if needed (“Lisbon Portugal”).

### `get_synastry`

A synastry between you and another person, from the birth date, time and city you give: their chart, their planets in your houses and the contacts between the two charts. The person is not saved.

birthDate (YYYY-MM-DD), birthTime (24-hour HH:MM) and place (the birth city), all three required; name, optional.

### `get_lunar_return`

Your lunar return for the current or the next lunar month: its exact start and end, its houses and its contacts to your natal chart.

period, optional: current or next. date, optional: YYYY-MM-DD, YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM in local time, or with an offset; without it, now. place, optional: the city to cast the houses in; without it, your Default location.

### `search_astromap_cities`

The cities near a few of your AstroMap lines, in the countries you choose: each line’s nearest cities and then its largest ones, with the distance to the line.

lines: the planet and angle pairs to search, such as Jupiter on the MC. countryCodes, optional: the countries to search in. maxDistanceKm, minPopulation and perLine, optional.

### `get_moon_data`

The Moon at any moment: its sign, phase, illumination and lunar day, or the exact time of the next new moon, quarter or full moon.

phase, optional: new_moon, first_quarter, full_moon or last_quarter, to find the next one. date, optional, in the same formats as get_directions; without it, now. place, optional: the city whose clock the times use.

### `find_eclipse`

The next or previous solar and lunar eclipses: their exact time and the sign they fall in.

kind: solar or lunar. date, optional: where the search starts; without it, now. count (1 to 12), backward and place, optional.

### `get_sunrise_sunset`

Sunrise and sunset on any day, where you are or in any city you name.

date, optional: the day, as YYYY-MM-DD; without it, today. place, optional: a city name; without it, where you are.

### `find_city`

The cities a name matches in AstroProcessor’s city list, with their time zones, so the AI can tell two cities with the same name apart.

query: a city name. limit, optional: 1 to 10.

### `get_balance`

Your AstroProcessor plan and balance.

No input

## Safety

- You sign in only on astroprocessor.app, in your browser.
- Never paste a password or a token into a chat. AstroProcessor never asks for one there.
- The connector reads your plan and, if you allow it, your birth data, your natal chart and what is computed from it. It writes one thing: your birth data and your natal chart, once, when your profile has none. It cannot change or delete your charts or chat threads, and it cannot read your chat threads.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do I need an AstroProcessor account?

Yes. The connector works with your AstroProcessor account: you sign in with it when your AI app asks, and the AI reads your own natal chart. If you do not have an account yet, create one at astroprocessor.app first.

### Which AI apps can connect to AstroProcessor?

ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and Gemini CLI have their steps on this page. Any other MCP client connects with the same URL, over Streamable HTTP, with an OAuth sign-in.

### Can the AI see my saved charts?

Not your saved charts. If you allow it on the consent screen when you connect, the AI reads your own natal chart, from the birth data in your profile, and computes from it: its forecast for any date, a relocation to another city, a synastry with a person whose birth data you give, your lunar return and the cities on your AstroMap lines. It uses them to answer questions about you. It never changes or deletes your charts, and it never reads your other charts, your chat threads or your notes. If your profile has no birth data, it can save the date, time and place you give it, once, and add your natal chart to your dashboard.

### How do I disconnect an AI app?

In AstroProcessor, open Settings → Account and choose Disconnect beside the app. Removing the connector in the app itself works too.
